Theory of Operation
The Amplifier monitors CAN messages. The Amplifier sets a DTC if the module receives a CAN message indicating battery voltage is below a certain voltage.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set when the Amplifier receives a CAN message indicating the battery voltage is below 10 volts for greater than 15 seconds.
CHECK FOR POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DTCs
NOTE: Make sure the battery is fully charged before proceeding.
1. Using the scan tool, read the active PCM DTCs.
Are there any battery or charging system DTCs present?
Yes
- Testing and Inspection Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- This DTC is informational only. At some time there was a low battery system voltage. Check the battery and charging system.
