License Plate Lamp - Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Push the latch tab (3) on the outboard end of the license plate lamp (2) toward the center of the deck lid handle and light bar unit (1).
3. While holding the latch tab depressed, pull the outboard end of the lamp down out of the mounting hole in the handle and light bar unit far enough to disengage the inboard end of the lamp from the mounting hole.
4. Firmly grasp the bulb socket on the top of the lamp housing and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
5. Pull the socket and bulb straight out of the lamp housing.
6. Remove the lamp lens and housing from the vehicle.
DODGE
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the two screws (2) that secure the license plate lamp (3) to the rear fascia (1).
3. Slide the license plate lamp to one side of the fascia opening far enough to lower one end of the lamp through the opening, then lower the opposite end through the opening.
4. Firmly grasp the bulb socket (1) on the top of the lamp housing (2) and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
5. Pull the socket and bulb straight out of the lamp housing.
6. Remove the lamp lens and housing from the vehicle.
