Instrument Panel Pad - Installation

INSTALLATION - 200C

UPPER PAD





1. If necessary, attach the PAB to the upper pad (1), Passenger Air Bag - Installation.
2. Align and position the upper pad to the base I/P. Hand tap to engage the retaining clips.
3. Install the fasteners (2) securing the upper I/P pad to the base panel. Tighten the fasteners securely.





4. Looking in from the glove box cavity, connect the PAB squib connectors and install the nuts (1) securing the PAB to the I/P structure, Passenger Air Bag - Installation.





5. Install the two fasteners (1) located under the instrument cluster bezel securing the top pad to the base panel. Tighten the fasteners securely.





6. Install the upper fasteners (1) located across the top of the upper I/P pad. Tighten the fasteners securely.
7. Install the defroster grille, Defroster Grille - Installation.
8. Install the A-pillar trim, A-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.

LOWER PAD





NOTE: The upper I/P pad must be installed prior to installing the lower I/P pad.

1. Position the LH lower trim panel near the defroster duct.
2. Connect and install the trunk release switch (1).
3. Hand tap the LH lower trim panel around the perimeter to engage the retaining clips.
4. Install the two fasteners (2) below the vent and trunk release switch. Tighten the fasteners securely.





5. Align and position the lower I/P pad (1) to the base instrument panel.
6. Hand tap the lower I/P pad (1) to engage the retaining clips.





7. Install the two fasteners (1, 2) securing the lower pad to the I/P located on the passenger side.Tighten the fasteners securely.





8. Install the two fasteners (1, 2) securing the lower pad to the I/P located above the center stack cavity. Tighten the fasteners securely.





9. Install the ignition trim ring.
10. Install the instrument cluster, Instrument Cluster - Installation.
11. Install the instrument cluster trim bezel (1), Instrument Cluster Bezel - Installation.





12. Install the outlet vents (1) on the driver and passenger sides, Air Outlet - Installation.





13. Install the lower steering column opening trim panel (2), Steering Column Opening Cover - Removal.





14. Install the glove box assembly (1), Instrument Panel Glove Box - Installation.





15. Install the floor console, Center Console - Installation.
16. Connect and install the center stack bezel (1).




17. Position and install the end cap (1). Repeat for the opposite side.
18. Install the weatherstrip along the front door opening.
19. Connect the negative battery cable.
