Vehicle Theft Security Hood Ajar Switch - Removal - Export

REMOVAL

HOOD SWITCH






NOTE: Removal of the bracket may cause the switch not to be adjusted correctly causing a new switch to be needed. Only remove bracket when necessary.

1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Disconnect wire harness connector (4) from hood ajar switch (1).
4. Firmly press tangs on the bottom side of the switch (1) together and push up through bracket (5).
5. Remove switch (1) from vehicle.

HOOD SWITCH BRACKET





1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Disconnect wire harness connector (4) from hood ajar switch (1).
4. Firmly press tangs on the bottom side of the switch (1) together and push up through bracket (5).
5. Remove the one screw (3) holding the bracket (5) to the upper radiator support.
