SUBJECT:
Shuttering Noise From The Right And/Or Left Rear Door Glass During Normal Operation Of Lowering Or Raising

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting the weatherstrip run channel for a poly strip and if necessary replacing the weatherstrip run channel.

MODELS:

JS 2010 Avenger/Sebring

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built after October 04, 2010 MDH(1004XX) and built prior to October11, 2010 MDH(1011XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The customer may experience a shuttering noise from the right and/or left rear door glass during normal operation of lowering or raising.

DIAGNOSIS:
If the symptom/condition is experienced, proceed to the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:





1. Position the suspect rear door glass to the full down position and inspect the weatherstrip window run channel for a poly strip as shown in (Fig. 1). Was there a poly strip?

a. Yes >>> Continue further diagnosis, this bulletin does not apply.

b. No >>> Proceed to Step # 2.

2. Remove and replace the weather strip window run channel. Refer to the detailed removal and installation procedures available in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT >:
Service Info > 23-Body > Doors - Rear > Channel, Door Glass, Rear > Removal/Installation.

3. Return the vehicle to the customer or dealer inventory.

Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
