Tonneau Linkage - Removal






REMOVAL





1. Position the top into the trunk with the tonneau almost fully extended, front bumper not in contact with the decklid.
2. Open the decklid into the service position. Convertible - Decklid Service Position.
3. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
4. Using two pocket screwdrivers or similar flat bladed tools, disconnect the right or left control cables from the screw drive assemblies (5). Push screwdrivers into release slots (4) in the screw drive assembly and press inward against cable sleeve. This will release the retaining tabs (1) on the cables allowing them to be pulled out of the screw drive assemblies (5).





5. Mark the tonneau panel to linkage attachment bracket (3) to aid in installation.
6. Remove the tonneau cover linkage mounting fasteners (2).
7. Slide the linkage to release the retainer and remove the linkage from the decklid.
