Exhaust Manifold - Installation

INSTALLATION

FRONT





1. Clean gasket mounting surfaces Procedures.
2. Install a new gasket (3), front maniverter (2) and the front exhaust maniverter attaching bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the front maniverter-to-crossunder fasteners (1 and 2). Tighten fasteners to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the upper maniverter heat shield (2) and the heat shield fasteners (1). Tighten fasteners to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.).
5. Install the oil indicator tube and dipstick.





6. Install the oxygen sensors (2 and 4). Tighten the sensors to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) Oxygen Sensor - Installation.





7. Install the splash shield (2) and fasteners (1).
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
9. Install the engine cover.

REAR





1. Clean gasket mounting surfaces Procedures.
2. Install the rear maniverter gasket (3), rear maniverter (2) and the rear maniverter fasteners (1). Tighten the fasteners to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the rear maniverter heat shield (3). Tighten fasteners (1 and 2) to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.).





4. Install the oxygen sensors (2 and 4). Tighten the sensors to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) Oxygen Sensor - Installation.





5. Install the lower EGR tube (1) Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Tube - Installation.





6. Install the crossunder pipe (3) Exhaust Cross under Pipe to Resonator - Installation.
7. Install the exhaust system Exhaust System - Installation.





8. Install the splash shield (2) and fasteners (1).
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
10. Install the engine cover.
