Latch/Decklid Forward Release Cable - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. With the latch assembly (2) upside down on a bench or work surface, connect the cable (1) to the latch as shown. Ensure the Z-fitting on the latch cable is installed as shown, damage can occur to the cable if not installed properly.





2. Slide the cable (3) into the retainer (1) and install the cable to the cylinder bracket (2) on the cylinder.





3. Route the cable on the inner quarter panel as shown.





4. Position the assembly onto the inner quarter panel using the marks made during removal. Install the bracket retaining bolts (1).
5. Attach the cable (3) on the latch assembly bracket (2).
6. Cycle the power folding top and ensure proper alignment of the decklid assembly.
7. Install the side and rear trunk trim panels. Trunk Trim Panel - Installation.
8. Close the rear decklid.
