Closeout Panel And Bracket - Removal
REMOVAL
ORIGINAL CLOSEOUT PANEL BRACKET
1. Fully retract the hard top into the trunk.
2. Remove both quarter trim panels. Quarter Trim Panel - Removal.
3. Start top (2) operation to retract the top and stop after the top is in the vertical position.
4. Remove the three pushpins securing the headliner to the closeout panel.
5. Remove the pin and clip securing the closeout panel to the bracket.
6. Remove the closeout panel from the vehicle.
7. Close the hard top completely.
8. Remove the mid panel headliner. Convertible Top Headliner - Removal.
9. Place the decklid in the decklid service position. Convertible - Decklid Service Position.
10. Remove the cargo shield from the trunk.
11. Remove the rear trunk trim panel.
12. Remove the side trunk trim panels.
13. Remove the decklid from the decklid service position.
14. Start top operation to retract the top and stop after the top has unlatched from the header. The decklid should be in the reverse position with the tonneau extended.
15. Remove the four fasteners (2) securing the main pivot bracket (MPB) to the body.
16. Carefully lift the top approximately six inches and place a block between the MPB and the bulkhead reinforcement (3).
17. Remove the two fasteners securing the closeout panel bracket to the MPB driven from the underside of the MPB.
18. Remove the closeout panel brackets from the vehicle.
UPDATED CLOSEOUT PANEL BRACKET
1. Start top operation to retract the top (2) and stop after the top is in the vertical position.
2. Remove the three pushpins (1) securing the headliner to the closeout panel.
3. Remove the pin (3) and clip securing the closeout panel to the bracket.
4. Remove the closeout panel from the vehicle.
5. Remove the two fasteners securing the closeout panel bracket to the main pivot bracket (MPB).
6. Remove the closeout panel bracket from the vehicle.
