Closeout Panel And Bracket - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: If the original style closeout panel bracket was removed, begin at Step 1. If the updated style bracket was removed, begin at Step 10.





1. Remove the block between the main pivot bracket (MPB) and the bulkhead reinforcement (3).
2. Install the four MPB fasteners (2) securing it to the bulkhead reinforcement.
3. Place the decklid in the decklid service position. Convertible - Decklid Service Position.
4. Install the side trunk trim panels.
5. Install the rear trunk trim panel.
6. Install the cargo shield to the trunk.
7. Remove the trunk lid from the decklid service position.
8. Install the mid panel headliner. Convertible Top Headliner - Installation.
9. Install the quarter trim panels. Quarter Trim Panel - Installation.





10. Start top operating to retract the top and stop after the top is in the vertical position.
11. Position the updated closeout panel bracket in place and install the two mounting fasteners from the top of the MPB.
12. Place the closeout panel in position.
13. Install the closeout panel pin and clip.
14. Install the three pushpins securing the headliner to the closeout panel ensuring the spring is installed properly.
