Panel to Panel Latch Pivot - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Lower the mid panel headliner. Convertible Top Headliner - Removal.
2. Make sure the mid panel is unlatched.
3. With a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the placement of the panel to panel latch pivot.
4. Unclip the horizontal rods from the center pivot, that are attached to the panel to panel right and left latch assemblies.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the micro switch.
6. Remove the front clip (1) securing the hydraulic cylinder (3) to the center mid panel latch assembly.
7. Remove the rear clip (2) that secures the cylinder to the top.





8. Remove the four fasteners (1) to the mid panel to panel latch pivot.
9. Remove the center pivot from the convertible top.
10. If replacing the panel to panel pivot, remove the rivet that secures the micro-switch to the pivot and remove from the pivot.
