Folding Top Decklid Latch - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Remove the decklid forward latch and bracket assembly from the vehicle.
2. While lifting the decklid latch toward the deckbar cylinder, install the cable (3) to the cylinder retainer (1) and secure the cable to the bracket (2).
3. Position the decklid forward latch and bracket assembly into the vehicle trunk area.
4. Install the top connector to the bracket, left side only.
5. Connect the decklid forward latch switch electrical connector, left side only.





6. Position the assembly onto the left inner quarter panel using the marks made during removal. Install the bracket retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.).
7. Connect the battery negative cable.
8. Install the rear and side trunk trim panels. Trunk Trim Panel - Installation.
9. Close the decklid.
10. Cycle the power folding top to ensure proper operation.
