Decklid Alignment

DECKLID ALIGNMENT

DECKBAR REAR STRIKER





The deckbar rear striker (1) adjusts closing efforts, rear decklid up/down and cross car fits. Adjusting the striker up will cause the rear of the decklid to move upward. Adjusting the striker left or right will cause the rear of the decklid to move cross car. To adjust the closing effort, replace the striker.

1. Loosen the fasteners (3) on the striker.
2. Adjust the striker up or down as necessary.
3. Adjust the striker left or right as necessary.
4. Tighten the mounting fasteners.
5. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKBAR REAR HINGES





The deckbar rear hinges (2) adjusts the rear decklid cross car fit. Adjusting the hinges left or right will cause the rear of the decklid to move cross car.

1. Loosen the fasteners on the hinges.
2. Adjust the deckbar hinges left or right as necessary.
3. Tighten the mounting fasteners.
4. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKBAR FORWARD STRIKERS





The decklid forward striker (3) adjusts front decklid closing and latching to deckbar latches and decklid up/down fit.

1. Loosen the fasteners (2) on the striker.
2. Adjust the deckbar hinges up or down as necessary.
3. Tighten the mounting fasteners.
4. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKBAR FORWARD BUMPER





The bumper (2) adjusts the front decklid up/down fit.

1. Loosen the bumper fastener.
2. Adjust the bumper up or down as necessary.
3. Tighten the mounting fastener.
4. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKBAR UPPER BAR





The deckbar upper bar (1) adjusts decklid fore/aft and cross car to body.

1. Loosen the fasteners securing the decklid to the upper bar.
2. Adjust the decklid fore or aft as necessary.
3. Adjust the decklid left or right as necessary.
4. Tighten the mounting fasteners.
5. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKBAR FORWARD LATCH BUMPER





Deckbar forward latch bumper (1) adjusts front decklid cross car to body.

1. Loosen the fasteners on the bumpers.
2. Close the decklid and verify proper alignment of the decklid.
3. Open the decklid and tighten the mounting fasteners.
4. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKBAR FORWARD LATCH BRACKET





Deckbar forward latch bracket (2) adjusts the front decklid closing and latching to deckbar latches and decklid up/down fit.

1. Loosen the fasteners on the bracket.
2. Adjust the bracket fore or aft as necessary.
3. Tighten the mounting fasteners.
4. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.

DECKLID OVERSLAM BUMPER





The decklid overslam bumper (2) adjusts the rear decklid up or down to the body.

1. Adjust the bumper clockwise to lower the rear of the decklid down as necessary.
2. Adjust the bumper counter clockwise to raise the rear of the decklid down as necessary.
3. Close the decklid and verify proper adjustment.
