Tension Cable - Removal

REMOVAL






NOTE: Do not completely remove the top cover.

1. Remove the top cover to the #2 bow. Folding Top Cover - Removal.
2. Carefully lift up on the front panel rail seal and remove the three mounting fasteners.
3. Remove the retainer and weatherstrip from the convertible top.
4. Remove the retainer screw at the front of the tension cable (1) and carefully remove the cable from the front rail.
5. Remove the spring attachement (2) to the rear panel (3) for the tension cable.

NOTE: If tension cable is being reused, do not cut the cable to remove.

6. Carefully pull the tension cable through and out of the opening in the top cover.
