Instrument Panel Duct - Removal






REMOVAL

WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE: Take the proper precautions to protect the front face of the instrument panel from cosmetic damage while performing this procedure.

NOTE: LHD Chrysler model shown in illustrations. Dodge and RHD models similar.

OUTER DUCTS






NOTE: Passenger side shown. Driver side similar.

1. Remove the instrument panel and place it on a workbench Instrument Panel - Removal.
2. Remove the left and right instrument panel air outlet (1) from the instrument panel Air Outlet - Removal.
3. Remove the screw (4) that secures the each outer instrument panel duct (2) to the instrument panel top cover (5).
4. Disconnect both outer instrument panel ducts from the center instrument panel duct (3) and remove the outer ducts.

CENTER DUCT





1. Remove the instrument panel and place it on a workbench Instrument Panel - Removal.
2. Remove the left and right instrument panel air outletsAir Outlet - Removal.
3. Remove the outer instrument panel ducts.
4. Remove the instrument panel top pad Instrument Panel Pad - Removal.
5. Remove the demister ducts Instrument Panel Demister Duct - Removal.
6. Remove the defroster duct Defroster Duct - Removal.
7. Remove the screws (3) that secure the center instrument panel duct (1) to the instrument panel top cover (2).
8. Disengage the center instrument panel duct from the instrument panel top cover and remove the duct.
