REMOVAL

NOTE: Convertible only, seat back is not removable from seat frame assembly.

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Seat - Removal.
2. Remove the seat side shields. Seat Cushion Side Shields - Removal.




3. Remove the lower outer shield (2).
4. Disengage seat back cover (1) J-clips and pull upward.





5. Remove the lower inner shield fasteners (1) and slide shield (2) down and out of seat back cover.
6. Remove airbag harness from the seat cushion pan.





7. Remove the seat belt retractor mounting bolt (3) and remove the retractor from the mounting bracket.
8. Disengage the seat cushion J-clip (1).
9. Disengage the seat back cover J-clip (2).





10. Carefully pull the seat back cover up to gain access to the rear entry release cable and seat side airbag mounting fasteners.
11. Disconnect the rear entry release cable from the release latch (2) and the mounting bracket (1).

12. Carefully lift upward on the front of the rear entry handle cover and rotate rearward while lifting up.
13. While feeding the seat belt through, carefully remove the rear entry handle cover and cable from the seat back.
14. Remove the shoulder bracket mounting fasteners and bracket from the seat back.
15. Remove the side airbag fasteners and remove the airbag from the seat cover bag.
16. Remove the headrest guides.




17. Remove the seat back foam and cover from the seat frame.
18. Carefully remove the seat back cover from the foam, cutting any hog rings and discard, if required.
