Seat Back - Removal

REMOVAL

NOTE: Rear seat back cushions are serviced as an assembly.

CONVERTIBLE





1. Remove rear shelf trim panel Rear Shelf Panel - Removal.
2. Pull upward at forward edge of the cushion (3) at each retainer loop of the rear seat cushion to disengage the retainer loops from cups in the floor (2).
3. Guide the seat belts through the loops.
4. Remove the rear seat cushion from vehicle.
5. Remove the top seat back fasteners.
6. Remove seat belt fastener on the center stud.
7. Fold seat back down and remove side bottom fastener.
8. Remove the seat back from the vehicle.

SEDAN





1. Pull upward at forward edge of the cushion (3) at each retainer loop of the rear seat cushion to disengage the retainer loops from cups in the floor (2).
2. Guide the seat belts through the loops.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion from vehicle.
4. Remove the rear seat buckles and belt anchors Seat Belt Buckle - Removal.
5. Remove the outer seat back bracket nuts (1).





6. Release folding rear seat back latches and fold the seats down completely.
7. Remove the seat back fasteners securing the seat back to the floor.
8. Remove seat back (2) from the vehicle.
