Convertible Models - Installation

INSTALLATION - CONVERTIBLE MODELS


FORE/AFT MOTOR






1. If required, align the left and right seat tracks to each other using a fore/aft power seat motor flexible drive cable and shaft (1) and a variable speed drill (2).
2. Install the fore/aft power seat motor (6) and drive cables (2 and 3) as an assembly to the bracket (5).
3. Install the flexible drive cables to the fore/aft seat track gear boxes (1 and 4).
4. Install the two metal retaining sleeves (1 and 2).






5. Connect the wire harness connector (3) to the fore/aft power seat motor (4).
6. Install the seat.
7. Reconnect the negative cable.






FRONT TILT MOTOR






1. Position the front tilt motor (3) so that sleeve (4) can be installed into the seat bracket (1). The motor may need to be rotated counterclockwise so that the worm gear (2) is fully retracted into the sleeve for clearance.
. Install the front tilt power seat motor, gear and sleeve as an assembly.
3. Position the front tilt power seat motor (1) to the bracket and install the retaining bolt (3). Tighten the bolt to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).
4. Connect the wire harness connector (2) to the power seat motor.






5. Align the left side seat track (4) to the right side seat track using a fore/aft power seat motor flexible drive cable and shaft (1) and a variable speed drill (2).
6. Install fore/aft power seat motor.






7. Install the seat.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.


REAR TILT MOTOR






1. Position the rear tilt power seat sleeve (4) to the bracket and install the retaining nut (5). Tighten the nut securely.
2. Position the rear tilt power seat gearbox (3) to the bracket and install the retaining bolt (2). Tighten the bolt to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).
3. Connect the wire harness connector (6) to the rear tilt power seat motor (1).
4. Install the seat.
5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
