Retractable Hard Top

INSTALLATION





1. Using the marks made during removal, place the primary hinge (2) into position.
2. Install the bolts (1) to the primary hinge. Tighten to 23 N-m (17 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the center rail retainers and weatherstrips.





4. With the help of assistant, place the rear panel into position and loosely install the top mounting fasteners (1).
5. Using the marks made during removal, align the rear panel to the hinge bracket and tighten the fasteners to 20 N-m (15 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the lower fastener (2). Tighten to 20 N-m (15 ft. lbs.).
7. Connect the heated glass connectors (3) and install the harness to the rear panel.





8. With the help of an assistant, place the mid panel (1) into position and install the top fastener on each side.
9. Install the mounting fasteners (2) and install the shims located between the side rail and middle panel at each fastener.
10. Tighten the fasteners to 20 N-m (15 ft. lbs.).
11. Connect the drain tube.





12. Engage the latch cable (1) to the support and install to the panel to panel latch.
13. Install both clips (4) to the panel to panel cylinder.
14. Install the push-pins (3) securing the harness to the middle panel.
15. Connect the micro-switch connectors (2 and 5).
16. Install the mid/rear headliner. Convertible Top Headliner - Installation.





17. With help to an assistant, carefully install the front panel to the vehicle.
18. Install the rearward mounting fastener (4) on each side. Tighten to 10 N-m (7 ft. lbs.).
19. Install the forward mounting fastener (3) on each side. Tighten to 10 N-m (7 ft. lbs.).
20. Connect the cable (2) to the top panel linkage.
21. Engage the cable retainer (1) to the top panel.
22. Install the hinge covers.
23. Install the front headliner. Convertible Top Headliner - Installation.





24. Install the center rail trim panels (1). Header Trim - Installation.
25. Install the rear and side trunk trim panels. Trunk Trim Panel - Installation.
26. With the top fully stowed in the trunk, install the quarter trim panel. Quarter Trim Panel - Installation.
27. Connect and isolate the battery negative cable.
