WARNING: Support fuel tank with a transmission jack or equivalent. Use straps to secure the fuel tank to the jack. Failure to properly support and secure the fuel tank during removal may cause fuel to spill or fuel tank to fall from jack assembly.

1. Install fuel line to fuel tank.
2. Position fuel tank onto a transmission jack or equivalent and raise the fuel tank (3) into vehicle position.
3. Install the straps (1) and fuel tank strap bolts (2). Tighten to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).




4. Install fuel filler tube (4) to the fuel tank. Tighten hose clamp (3) to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.).
5. Install the fuel tube vent line (1) to the quick connect fitting (2).




6. Connect the EVAP, vapor, and vacuum lines.
7. Lubricate the fuel supply line with clean 30 weight engine oil, install the quick connect fuel fitting.
8. Lower vehicle.




9. Install fuel pump module in marked location.




10. Install fuel pump module lock ring, push module down and start lock ring.




11. Use special tool Spanner Wrench #9340 to install module lock ring.




12. Connect fuel pump/module electrical connector. Place retainer in locked position.




13. Install fuel pump module cover.




14. Install rear seat.
15. Fill fuel tank, replace cap, and connect battery negative cable.
16. Fill the fuel tank.
17. Use the scan tool to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks.
