SAFETY RECALL G33 - FRONT DOOR LATCH CABLES
Effective immediately this recall(G33) cancels and supersedes Safety Recall G12 - Front Door Latches. All vehicles involved in Recall G12, whether completed or not, must have recall G33 performed
MODELS:
2007 - 2008 (JS) Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring Convertible
NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles built through July 13, 2007 (MDH 07-13-22).
^ The front door latch cables on about 7,300 of the above vehicles may become unseated from the interior release handle housing during certain operating conditions. This can cause the door latch to stick in the unlatched position or allow the lock function to become inoperative. At tempting to drive a vehicle with a door in the unlatched position can result in increased risk of injury to an unbelted front seat occupant.
