Body - Grease Marks on Interior of Front Door Glass

SUBJECT:
Reoccurring Grease Marks on Inside Front Door Glass

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves removing the door module and cleaning any grease found on the Upper Door Hardware Module Cable.

MODELS:

2008 (JS27) Sebring Convertible

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some customers may find grease marks on the inside surface of the door glass. After cleaning the glass, the grease may return in a short period of time from normal door use.

DIAGNOSIS:

If the customer experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Following the procedures found in DealerCONNECT >> TechCONNECT, remove the front door panel, door glass and front door module.

2. Locate the cable that runs across the upper portion of the door module (covered cable with STAR shaped sleeve). Clean any grease that is found on the upper cable and STAR shaped sleeve.

NOTE:
No grease should be on the STAR shaped cable cover. A mild solvent can be used to clean the cable cover. All grease must be removed.

3. Carefully clean the inner belt molding.

4. Following the procedures found in DealerCONNECT >> TechCONNECT. reinstall the door module, door glass and trim panel.

5. Clean the door glass when finished.
