B190E-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW-DDM

NOTE: This test shows graphics, circuit numbers and text for a Left Hand Drive (LHD) vehicle. For a Right Hand Drive (RHD) vehicle, refer to the schematic for the different circuit numbers, cavities and names.

NOTE: Even though the JS27 (Convertible) is not equipped with the Express (AUTO) Up feature, the front window circuits are still referred to as "EXPRESS".

- When Monitored:
Continuously

- Set Condition:
When the Driver Express Switch Driver Window Mux circuit is under 4.4 volts for over 100 ms.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Operate the Driver Window Switch in both positions several times.
Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B190E-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go to 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. DRIVER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED TO GROUND




With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch (JS41-C2) connector.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B190E-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?

No

- Replace the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

Yes

- Go to 3

3. (Q221) MASTER SWITCH LEFT FRONT WINDOW MUX WIRE SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (Q221) Master Switch Left Front Window Mux circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (Q221) Master Switch Left Front Window Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Go to 4

4. (Q221) MASTER SWITCH LEFT FRONT WINDOW MUX WIRE SHORT TO THE (Q994) DRIVER EXPRESS SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT




Measure the resistance between (Q994) Driver Express Switch Return circuit and the (Q221) Master Switch Left Front Window Mux circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (Q221) Master Switch Left Front Window Mux circuit for a short to the (Q994) Driver Express Switch Return circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
