B2530-CONVERTIBLE TOP PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT 1 OPEN

- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.
- Set Condition:
This code will set during Power Top activation and the Power Top Retracted Driver circuit is open during retract or Power Top Extended Driver Circuit is open during extend.
Diagnostic Test
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Try to operate the Power Top several times.
Wait 30 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go to 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. (Q986) POWER TOP RETRACTED DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN
Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the (Q986) Power Top Retracted Driver circuit between the PTCM C3 harness connector and the Power Top Motor harness connector.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?
Yes
- Repair the (Q986) Power Top Retracted Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go to 3
3. (Q985) POWER TOP EXTENDED DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN
Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the (Q985) Power Top Extended Driver circuit between the PTCM C3 harness connector and the Power Top Motor harness connector.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?
Yes
- Repair the (Q985) Power Top Extended Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Power Top Control Module (PTCM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
