Side Curtain Airbag - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Install the curtain airbag (5) into the vehicle.

WARNING: Make sure the airbag is not twisted upon installation.

2. Set the airbag (5) onto the studs at the roof line.
3. Install the seven nuts (1 and 4) and tighten to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.).
4. Install the front and rear tethers into their retaining slots.




5. Connect the squib connector (2) to the rear of the inflator (1).

NOTE: Use a new headliner if curtain airbag was deployed on either side of the vehicle.

6. Install the Headliner Headliner - Installation.


WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE. PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH MAY RESULT IF THE SYSTEM TEST IS NOT PERFORMED FIRST. FOR THE SYSTEM TEST, Supplemental Restraints Verification Test
