Removal

REMOVAL





1. Open the power folding top so that the header latches are fully disengaged.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the left sunvisor retaining screws (1).
4. Lower the left sunvisor and disconnect the electrical connector (3).
5. Remove the left sunvisor (2) from the vehicle.
6. Repeat the removal procedure for the right sunvisor.




7. Remove the windshield header lower trim panel (1) by disengaging the retaining clips from the power folding top presenter plate assembly (2).




8. Remove both the left and right A-pillar trim panels, A-Pillar Trim Panel-Removal.
9. Disconnect the presenter plate electrical connector located on the right A-pillar.
10. Mark the orientation of the presenter plate (3) to the vehicle header panel (1) to ensure proper alignment during installation.
11. Remove the presenter plate assembly retaining bolts (2).
12. Separate the presenter plate (3) from the windshield header (1) and remove from vehicle.




13. With the presenter plate assembly (4) on the workbench, disconnect the folding top closed position switch electrical connector (3).
14. Mark the orientation of the right folding top header latch assembly (1) to the presenter plate (4) to ensure proper alignment during installation.
15. Remove the right folding top header latch assembly retaining nuts (2 & 5)
16. Remove the right folding top header latch assembly (1) from the presenter plate (4).




17. Remove the folding top closed position switch retaining screw (2).
18. Separate the switch (3) from the latch assembly (1).
