Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Loosen the PTU to transaxle bracket if not already loose.
2. Install new O-ring onto PTU.
3. Apply RTV, 05010884AA, to the PTU O-ring.




NOTE: The sequence below should always be followed when installing the PTU

4. Install PTU into position. Install (2) PTU-to-transmission adaptor bolts and torque to 22 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the PTU Heat shield.
6. Install PTU-to-transaxle bracket upper bolts and tighten to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.)
7. Tighten 3 PTU to transaxle bracket bolts to 100 Nm (75 ft. lbs.).
8. Install PTU/rear mount bracket. Install and tighten bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
9. Install propeller shaft assembly. Propeller Shaft - Installation
10. Install right halfshaft assembly. Half Shaft - Installation
11. Install engine cradle crossmember. Service and Repair
12. Install exhaust to engine Catalytic Converter - Installation.
13. Check and adjust PTU Fluid level. The PTU holds.8L (1.7 Pints.) of Mopar(R) 75W-90 Gear and Axle Lubricant.
