Power Steering Fluid Cooler: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION





On vehicles with the 3.8L engine, a cooling loop (5) is located in the power steering fluid return hose (3) for fluid cooling purposes. The cooling loop is serviced as part of the return hose.

On vehicles with the 4.0L engine, a cooling loop is located behind the front suspension crossmember and is placed in series with the power steering fluid return hose. The cooling loop can be serviced separately.
