Third Row Seat Belt Retractor - Installation







INSTALLATION

SEAT BELT WEB STOP BUTTON

The only component of the seat belt and retractor that is available for individual service replacement is the plastic web stop button that prevents the latch plate from falling to the floor while in the stored position. Refer to the instructions supplied with the service kit for the proper web stop button replacement procedures.





1. Feed the seat belt webbing through the upper D-pillar trim.
2. Position seat belt and retractor in vehicle.
3. Install the turning loop retaining bolt (6) in the D-pillar. Tighten bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) and install seat belt turning loop cover (10).




4. Install the two seat belt retractor mounting bolts (3). Tighten bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the D-pillar seat belt retaining ring (4) onto the seat belt webbing and then the retaining ring screws to the D-pillar.
6. Install the upper D-pillar trim Installation.
7. Install the lower quarter trim panel Console Shifter Bezel - Installation.
8. Install the second and third row lower seat belt anchor bolts (7) through the lower quarter trim panel at the C and D-pillars. Tighten bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
9. Install the second and third row seats to the side of vehicle that the seat belt and retractor are being serviced.
