Liquid Line







REMOVAL

WARNING: Refer to the applicable warnings and cautions for this system before performing the following operation Warning and Caution. Failure to follow the warnings and cautions could result in possible personal injury or death.

NOTE: The A/C liquid line can be serviced separately from the A/C suction line





1. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system Refrigerant System Recovery.
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner housing and the air inlet tube Air Cleaner Housing - Removal.
4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (4) from the A/C pressure transducer (3) located on the A/C liquid line (1) near the right front strut tower (2).
5. Remove the A/C pressure transducer from the A/C liquid line and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
6. Remove the nut (9) that secures the A/C liquid line to the right front strut tower.
7. Remove the nut (5) that secures the A/C liquid line and A/C suction line (7) to the A/C expansion valve (6).
8. Disconnect the A/C liquid and suction lines from the A/C expansion valve and remove and discard the O-ring seals.
9. Remove the retaining clip (8) that secures the A/C liquid line to the tapping block of the A/C suction line and separate the liquid line from the suction line.
10. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and expansion valve ports.




11. Remove the radiator closure panel Removal.
12. Remove the front fascia.
13. Remove the retaining pins (1) that secures the radiator end air seal (2) to the right side of the A/C condenser (3) and remove the air seal.




14. Remove the nut (1) that secures the A/C liquid line (2) to the right side of the A/C condenser (3).
15. Disconnect the A/C liquid line from the A/C condenser and remove and discard the O-ring seal and gasket.
16. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened liquid line fitting and condenser port.
17. Loosen the upper radiator retaining bolts and tilt the radiator rearward to gain clearance for A/C liquid line removal Radiator - Removal.
18. Disengage the A/C liquid line from the refrigerant line routing clip located on top of the right frame rail.
19. Pull the A/C liquid line partially out through the front of the vehicle and then remove the line out from the top of the engine compartment, starting near the dash panel.
