Exhaust Pipe - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove flange nuts at exhaust manifold flange (3). Remove and discard gasket (4).
4. Remove loosen band clamp.
5. Separate the exhaust pipe (2) from muffler.
6. Remove exhaust pipe from vehicle.
7. Clean ends of the exhaust pipe and muffler to assure mating of all parts. Discard broken or worn insulators, rusted clamps, supports and attaching parts. When replacement is required on any component of the exhaust system, it is important that original equipment parts (or equivalent) be used for the following conditions:
