Right Exhaust Maniverter







REMOVAL - RIGHT EXHAUST MANIVERTER

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.




4. Disconnect the downstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove the rear maniverter heat shield fasteners (1) and (2), and remove the rear maniverter heat shield (3).




6. Remove the lower exhaust maniverter-to-crossunder pipe bolts (1).




7. Remove the exhaust manifold inlet flange retaining fasteners (1) and disconnect the exhaust system hangers from the pipe assembly.




NOTE: Be careful when removing the rear exhaust maniverter fasteners. The rear exhaust maniverter fasteners may be locked onto the studs in the cylinder head.

8. Remove the rear exhaust maniverter fasteners (1).
9. Remove the rear exhaust maniverter (2).
