Right Exhaust Manifold

INSTALLATION - RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD

1. Clean gasket surfaces.
2. Replace any damaged studs, or reinstall any studs that came out during removal. Tighten studs to 20 in. lbs.
3. Position the exhaust manifold and new gasket on the studs in the cylinder head.




4. Position the exhaust manifold and new gasket on the studs in the cylinder head. Tighten rear maniverter fasteners starting at the center working outward to 23 N.m (200 in. lbs.).




5. Install exhaust system. Connect the exhaust system hangers from the pipe assembly and install the three exhaust manifold flange retaining fasteners (1). Tighten the fasteners to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).




6. Install the rear maniverter heat shield (3), and install the rear maniverter heat shield fasteners (1) and (2). Tighten the rear maniverter heat shield bolts to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).




7. Install the lower exhaust maniverter-to-crossunder pipe bolts (1). Tighten to 28 Nm (250 in.-lbs.).
8. If installing a new maniverter, transfer the existing oxygen sensors from the original maniverter.
9. Connect the downstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
10. Connect the upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
