U1501-IMPLAUSIBLE MESSAGE DATA LENGTH RECEIVED FROM PCM

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
When the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects an incorrect CAN message from the Powertrain Control Module.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK IF PCM CAN BUS DTCs ARE PRESENT
With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Are there any PCM CAN BUS DTCs present?

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Go To 2

2. CHECK IF ENGINE DTCS ARE PRESENT
With the scan tool, read Engine DTCs.
Are there any Engine DTCs present?

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Anti-Lock Brakes Module.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
