PDM-38-LIN WINDOW MOTOR PERFORMANCE

- When Monitored:
During a window operation command.

- Set Condition:
The window motor failed to turn or the relay stuck during a movement command of over one second.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Operate the passenger window switch in all positions several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 38-LIN WINDOW MOTOR PERFORMANCE?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Operate the motor several times more to ensure it does not fail. If the motor fails again, replace the Passenger Window Motor (regulator).
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. BINDING REGULATOR
Inspect the window channel for any possible binding conditions that would prevent window movement.
Were any binding conditions found?

Yes

- Repair or replace the cause of the binding condition.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Passenger Window Motor (regulator).
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
