PDM-23-PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
If the switch is held in the on position for over 10 seconds, this code will set.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
Check the heated seat switch mechanical operation for a sticking condition. Correct as necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
With the star scan, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Operate the Heated Seat Switch several times.
With the star scan, read DTCs.
Does the star scan display 23-PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Operate the switch several times to ensure it does not stick. If the switch ever sticks, replace it.
- PERFORM the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. SEAT SWITCH
Disconnect the Passenger Power Seat Switch connector.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run and wait 30 seconds.
With the star scan, read DTCs.
Does the star scan display 23-PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH STUCK?

Yes

- Go To3

No

- Replace the Passenger Power Seat Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

3. (P8) PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND.




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Passenger Power Seat Switch connector.
Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.
Inspect the (P8) Passenger Heated Seat Switch MUX circuit for a partial short to ground or to another circuit in the seat switch harness.
Were there any problems found?

Yes

- Repair the (P8) Passenger Heated Seat Switch MUX circuit as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
