For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
If the voltage on the Passenger Horizontal Position Signal circuit is below 0.1 volt for over 10 seconds, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. STORED DTC
With the scan tool, erase the DTC from the Passenger Door Module.
Operate the Passenger's power mirror and memory system.
Turn the ignition switch to the Off position then start the engine and let run for one minute.
With the scan tool check for the same DTC to return in the PDM.
Did the same DTC return?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. (P68) PASSENGER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SIGNAL
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Passenger Power Mirror connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the (P68) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit in the Passenger Rearview Outside Mirror harness connector.
Is the voltage between 4.5 and 5.5 volts?
Yes
- Replace the Passenger Power Mirror.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
No
- Go To3
3. (P68) PASSENGER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SIGNAL WIRE
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C3 connector.
Disconnect the Passenger Rearview Outside Mirror connector.
Measure the resistance of the (P68) Passenger Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit to ground at the Passenger Rearview Outside Mirror harness side connector.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P68) Passenger Mirror Horizontal Position Signal wire for a short to ground.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
