MSM-IPM Messages Not Received

MSM-IPM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:


- Set Condition:
The module does not receive any messages from the IPM. Time to mature for the MHSAPM is 10 seconds. Time to mature for the IPM is 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE INTEGRATED POWER MODULE
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the IPM.
Was the scan tool able to I/D or communicate with the IPM?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- Refer to Communication. No Response From Integrated Power Module (IPM)
- PERFORM POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Seat System Verification Test

2. MODULE
With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to On and wait approximately 1 minute.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Did this DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace the module which set the DTC.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Test Complete.
