MSM-BCM Messages Not Received

MSM-BCM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
With the ignition in run or run/start and vehicle not in shipping mode.

- Set Condition:
The module does not receive any messages from the BCM. Time to mature for the Memory/Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module (MHSAPM) is 5 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE BCM
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the Body Control Module.
Was the scan tool able to I/D or communicate with the BCM?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- REFER TO COMMUNICATION. No Response From BCM (Body Control Module)
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Seat System Verification Test

2. MEMORY/HEATED SEAT ADJUSTABLE PEDAL MODULE (MHSAPM)
With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
Cycle the ignition switch from off to on and wait approximately 1 minute.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Did this DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace the module which set the DTC.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test

No

- Test Complete.
