Seat Switch Illumination Output Short To Ground - PDM

SEAT SWITCH ILLUMINATION OUTPUT SHORT TO GROUND - PDM

- When Monitored:
Accessory power applied (including accessory delay), ignition switch in accessory or on.

- Set Condition:
If the Illumination Driver circuit is shorted to ground over 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch Off then back On and wait 10 seconds.
Attempt to turn the heated seats on and wait 10 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the same DTC return?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. (P302) PASSENGER SEAT SWITCH ILLUMINATION DRIVER
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Passenger Power Seat Switch connector.
Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.
Inspect the (P302) Passenger Seat Switch Illumination Driver circuit for a short to ground or to another circuit in the seat switch harness.
Were there any problems found?

Yes

- Repair the (P302) Passenger Door Switch Illumination Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Power Seat Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
