SEAT SWITCH ILLUMINATION OUTPUT SHORT TO BATTERY - DDM

- When Monitored:
No Accessory power, ignition switch off and accessory power delay removed.
- Set Condition:
If the Illumination Driver circuit is shorted to battery over 10 seconds.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch Off, On and back Off. Open the door (to cancel accessory power delay).
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the same DTC return?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
2. POWER SEAT SWITCH
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the power seat switch connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Using the scan tool, erase DTC's.
Cycle the ignition switch back Off and open the door.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Did the same DTC return?
Yes
- Go To3
No
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
3. DRIVER DOOR SWITCH ILLUMINATION DRIVER
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Power Seat Switch connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the (P301) Driver Door Switch Illumination Driver circuit.
Is the voltage above 1.0 volts?
Yes
- Repair the (P301) Driver Door Switch Illumination Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
