Driver Door Ajar Circuit Open
*DRIVER DOOR AJAR CIRCUIT OPEN

Diagnostic Test
1. DDM NOT RESPONDING TO INPUT
Open the driver door.
With the scan tool in Inputs/Outputs, read the DRIVER DOOR AJAR SW state.
Does the scan tool display CLOSED?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 2
2. OPEN (Z75) DRIVER DOOR AJAR SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Disconnect the Driver Door Lock Motor/Ajar switch connector
Using a 12-volt Test Light connected to 12-volts, check the (Z75) Ground circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Repair the (Z75) Ground circuit for an open to the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
3. OPEN DRIVER DOOR LOCK MOTOR/AJAR SWITCH
With the scan tool in Inputs/Outputs, read the DRIVER DOOR AJAR SW state.
Connect a jumper wire between (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit and the (Z75) Ground circuit.
Does the scan tool display DRIVER DOOR AJAR SW: CLOSED?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch (door latch).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. (G75) DRIVER DOOR AJAR SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the DDM harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit between the DDM and the Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch connectors.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Repair the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
