IPM-5C-DOOR NODE POWER RELAY SHORT TO BATTERY

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
The output is on and a short to battery condition exists. The code will set in 1 second.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 30 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: 5C-DOOR NODE POWER RELAY SHORT TO BATTERY?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- The condition that caused the symptom is not currently present. Search for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that may apply. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. DOOR NODE RELAY
Turn the ignition off.
Install a substitute relay in place of the existing Door Node Relay.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: 5C-DOOR NODE POWER RELAY SHORT TO BATTERY?

Yes

- Replace the IPM .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Door Node Relay.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
