IPM-03

IPM-03-CMTC (ELECTRONIC OVERHEAD MODULE) COMMUNICATION FAULT

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition in run.

- Set Condition:
The module does not receive any messages from the CMTC (Electronic Overhead Module). Time to mature for the BCM, DDM and PDM is 5 seconds. Time to mature for the IPM is 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CMTC (ELECTRONIC OVERHEAD MODULE)
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, select ECU View.
Verify that the CMTC (Electronic Overhead Module) is active on the bus.
Is the CMTC (Electronic Overhead Module) active on the bus?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- Perform the No Response diagnostic procedure. Communications - Verbose Codes

2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION RELATED DTC'S
With the scan tool, select Network View and select Advanced.
Is there more than one module with active DTC's "Logged Against" the CMTC (Electronic Overhead Module)?

Yes

- Replace/update the CMTC (Electronic Overhead Module).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace/update the module that set this DTC.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
