Rear Booster Fan Relay Short To Batt (ATC)

REAR BOOSTER FAN RELAY SHORT TO BATT (ATC)

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
If the Integrated Power Module (IPM) detects excessive current when attempting to close the Rear Booster Fan Relay. This condition must be present for a least one second.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK IF DTC RESETS WITH SUBSTITUTE RELAY INSTALLED
Turn the ignition off.
Install a substitute relay in place of the existing Rear Booster Fan Relay.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase IPM DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 30 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read IPM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Replace the IPM.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the original Rear Booster Fan Relay.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
