DDM-34-MEMORY SWITCH STUCK
For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
If the switch is held in the on position for over 10 seconds, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENT
Check the switches mechanical operation and also check for a possible obstruction. Correct if necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Operate the Switch several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display MEMORY SWITCH STUCK?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Operate the switch several times to ensure it does not stick. If the switch ever sticks, replace it.
- PERFORM POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Seat System Verification Test
2. SEAT SWITCH
Disconnect the Driver Seat Switch connector.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run and wait 10 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display MEMORY SWITCH STUCK?
Yes
- Go To3
No
- Replace the Driver Power Seat Switch.
- PERFORM POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Seat System Verification Test
3. (G200) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND.
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Power Seat Switch connector.
Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Inspect the (G200) Memory Select Switch MUX circuit for a partial short to ground or to another circuit in the seat switch harness.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair the (G200) Memory Select Switch MUX circuit as necessary.
- PERFORM POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Seat System Verification Test
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
