DDM-20-DRIVER MIRROR COMMON OUTPUT SHORT TO GROUND





For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
Whenever mirror is idle.

- Set Condition:
Driver circuit is shorted to ground.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch Off then back On.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the same DTC return?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- The conditions required to set the code are currently not present. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test

2. OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Using the scan tool, erase DTC's.
Cycle the ignition switch Off then back On.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Did the same DTC return?

Yes

- Go To3

No

- Inspect the mirror harness for a short, if OK replace the mirror.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test

3. (P73) DRIVER MIRROR COMMON DRIVER




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
Measure the (P73) Driver Mirror Common Driver circuit to ground.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (P73) Driver Mirror Common Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
