GPS ANTENNA DISCONNECT
For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
At all times.
- Set Condition:
When the Navigation Module detects a high resistance on the antenna circuit, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from on to off and then back to on.
Turn the Navigation System on and try to select a location.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display GPS ANTENNA DISCONNECT?
No
- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check the antenna connections at the navigation unit and at the right A-Pillar (see service information).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
Yes
- Go To2
2. NAVIGATION MODULE
Turn the ignition off.
Gain access to the Navigation Module in the rear of the vehicle.
Disconnect the Antenna connector in the Navigation Unit.
Measure the resistance of the Antenna circuit between the center of the connector and the side tab (shield) of the harness connector.
Is the resistance approximately 200.0 ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Navigation Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To3
3. ANTENNA CABLE
Turn the ignition off.
Gain access to the Navigation Module in the rear of the vehicle.
Disconnect the Antenna connector in the Navigation Module.
Disconnect the Antenna Cable connector at the lower right side of the instrument panel.
Measure the resistance of the Antenna circuit between the center of the connectors.
Measure the resistance of the Antenna Shield circuit by back probing both connectors.
Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms on both circuits?
Yes
- Replace the Antenna.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Antenna Cable.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
