Amp Messages Not Received

AMP MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
At all times.

- Set Condition:
This DTC will set if the NAV Module does not receive 5 consecutive PCI bus messages from the AMP. The code will clear after 50 ignition cycles.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from on to off and then back to on.
Turn the Navigation System on and try to select a location.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display AMP MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED?

No

- The condition is not present at this time. Monitor scan tool parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Search for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Go To2

2. COMMUNICATION FAULT PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the AMP.
Was the scan tool able to communicate with the AMP?

Yes

- Replace the Navigation Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- REFER TO COMMUNICATION. No Response From AMP (Amplifier)
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
