Diagnostic Test

1. SDARS SUBSCRIPTION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read the SDARS subscription status.
Does the subscription status read "subscribed?"

Yes

- Go To2

No

- Customer has not subscribed to this feature. No repair at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. (X160) FUSED B+ CIRCUIT OPEN




NOTE: Diagnose and repair any DTCs before continuing.

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Satellite Radio Receiver harness connectors.
Turn the ignition on and the radio on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the (X160) Fused B+ circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Go To3

No

- Repair the (X160) Fused B+ circuit for an open. Check related fuses, if fuse is open, repair short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

3. (X112) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Satellite Radio Receiver harness connectors.
Turn the ignition and the radio on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the (X112) Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Go To4

No

- Repair the (X112) Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

4. (Z141) GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Satellite Radio Receiver harness connectors.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, probe the (Z141) Ground circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Replace Satellite Radio Receiver.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Repair the (Z141) Ground circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
